Delete your Shiny Pokes account

You do not need to ask anyone. Deletion is a button in Settings, on the website and in both apps.

1. Sign in to the iOS app, the Android app, or shinypokes.com.
2. Open Settings from the menu, or from your profile picture in the top right.
3. Choose the Delete account tab.
4. Press Delete account and confirm. The account is removed right away and you are signed out.

If you would rather download a copy of your data first, use Download my data on the Account tab of Settings. It gives you everything as a JSON file.

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@shinypokes.com from the address on your account, or include the Google or Discord account you signed in with and your username. Deletion requests are handled within 7 days, usually much sooner. You get one reply confirming it is done.

Everything tied to the account, immediately and permanently:

• Your account, username, display name, email address and sign-in links.
• Your profile, bio, avatar and any images you uploaded.
• All hunts, catches, planned hunts, encounter counts and timers.
• Your chat messages, mentions, poll votes and suggestions.
• Your support conversation and any reports you sent.
• Push notification tokens for your devices.
• Settings, hunter level progress, awards and your blocked list.

Once deleted, your public hunter page and shared catch links stop working. This cannot be undone.

• Backups. The database is backed up nightly and each backup is kept for 14 days, then discarded. Your data falls out of every backup within 14 days of deletion. Backups are only ever used to recover from a failure, never to restore an individual account.
• Server logs. Web server request logs, which contain IP addresses but no account data, are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
• Nothing else. No analytics profile, no advertising data, and nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.

Deleting your Shiny Pokes account does not affect your Google or Discord account. It only removes the link between them and Shiny Pokes.
